What do other retailers have to say about PEC?

Lake Powell Boat Storage - Page, AZ - Jo Bjorholm

Page is the most secluded city in the US, with the nearest metropolitan area 150 miles away. So when our local UPS contracted shipper decided that they did not want to do it anymore, we were in trouble. That meant a very long drive to ship anything via UPS.

I got a call from Brad at PEC and was told that our local hardware store would no longer be shipping and they needed someone to pick up the ball and carry on. Within 2 weeks (a record I think) we were set up with equipment, software, etc. and nearly ready for our first package to go out. PEC had rushed through on their end and we took our first package within days of the hardware store quitting.

I run a quiet little storage facility on the outskirts of town. I usually had time for a few games of solitaire during the day and left for lunch and errands whenever I needed to. NOT ANY MORE! Since that day, our office has become quite busy. We have never had a day without packages to go out, we had to expand the little area we were using because outgoing packages were taking up so much space I couldn’t get to the boxes. We have expanded our shipping supplies, now have fax service added that we would never have added before - we just did not have the traffic to support it - and because of the UPS stuff, we are selling boxes and moving supplies we were not selling as a storage facility.

Now I am adding a Christmas wrapping service and there are many other ideas running through my head as well because we now have the foot traffic to support some of those ideas that I have been setting aside for quite some time. We are considering the need for hiring a second person, at least part time, while we see what the future brings.

I cannot tell you how many of our customers come in and tell us how grateful they are that we took over the shipping. Many of them had never even been on this side of town. Oh, and our income has gone up nicely as well. I should probably mention that our hardware store quit shipping on March 15, 2010 and we shipped our first package on March 22, 2010, so we have only been doing this for a very short time and our future is as big as we wish to make it.

Hall’s Homes & Lumber - Tioga, PA - Judy Thomas

We are a small community in northern PA. UPS Stores are few and far between. Since we opened our Package Express Center in March, 2010, we have had a steady stream of satisfied customers. But there is one customer who REALLY stands out.

I was the one who installed and set up our Package Express Center, but all of our employees are trained to use the system. I only get involved now when there are problems.

Tom Scott Lumber Yard – Mount Vernon, TX - Jamie Townlin

This store began shipping for the public with PEC in March of 2007. Prior to this, they had been using UPS Worldship to process store packages. Jamie Townlin, floor manager, said they also began accepting a few packages from regular customers. Then, in 2007, they signed up with PEC and began using PEC’s Total Shipping software which Jamie says is much easier and faster to use than UPS Worldship software. They began to promote the service and placed signs provided by PEC to let their customers know that they were actively accepting customer packages. With the nearest UPS shipper being 18 miles away, this service has created a nice little profit center and traffic builder. Jamie says that customers love the fact that the first $100 of Declared Value coverage is free since the only other option for shipping packages in town is the local Post Office which charges well over $2 for this.

Office Supplies & Equipment - Washington, MO - Wanda Bade

WOW! What a Year! With the ecomony down as much as it is, we’ve been holding our own in the retail market. But PEC has went beyond our expectations. In this economic climate, to be up 65% in packages shipped, is astounding.

From the time we enrolled, we’ve been pleased with PEC’s service. Having a ‘LIVE PERSON’ to talk to helps get problems taken care of immediately, so we can go about our busy day. Automatic daily downloads and reports save time. When things slow down, the training function allows sales persons to refresh their skills to better serve our customers.

When your busy running a retail store, it’s nice to know that if a problem ever does arise, it will be handled professionally and immediately.

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
